Turks and Caicos
Located in the Caribbean Sea, the islands of Turks and Caicos were discovered by the Spanish in 1512. Today this state is the British Overseas Territory with all international affairs being decided by Great Britain. Turks and Caicos is the archipelago comprised of 40 small islands, with only 8 being inhabited. The main air gateway is the Island Providenciales, where the international airport is located. The flight from Miami takes only an hour and 45 minutes, which makes it popular among tourists to combine traveling to both places. The islands are surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, while the coast is decorated with mangrove forests. The islands are known for their cultural festivals.
