PONANT's polar cruises are beginning a new chapter with Le Commandant Charcot, the world's first luxury polar expedition ship of the PC2 class capable of venturing into the heart of the ice. Thanks to this magnificent new vessel, legendary destinations such as the Geographic North Pole and the Ross Sea are now accessible to PONANT guests.
Between millennia-old glaciers and rugged mountains, you will discover jagged coastlines shaped by fjords. The unique environment, rich in wildlife, offers you the opportunity to capture incredible photographs from the deck of your icebreaker. The journey is accompanied by specialists: oceanographers, ornithologists, and geographers. Separate expeditions are conducted in partnership with National Geographic.
