Shang Palace
Paris, France
On 8 September 2011, Europe’s first Shang Palace restaurant opened in Paris. In 2012, it was awarded with 1 star in the Michelin Guide. Originally inspired by Southeast China’s culinary traditions, the restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine made by Chef Samuel Lee. The venue offers a main room and one private dining room that was named for the Tang dynasty. Experience a unique culinary journey full of genuine Asian traditions in the heart of Europe.
Since opening in September 2011, Shang Palace has been dedicated exclusively to China’s Cantonese cuisine and become a popular destination for gourmets seeking to sample the delights of authentic Chinese food prepared by a starred kitchen. Some of the most refined cooking styles in the world have come from the Canton and Huaiyang regions. However, the areas hold few secrets for Samuel Lee Sum. Now aged 33, he spent six years as an executive chef at top establishments in Tianjin and Kunshan.
