Immersed in the calming ambience of a tropical hideaway, the 91 guest villas and pavilions nestle amid the Resort’s lushly landscaped gardens or at the beachfront within the soothing sound of waves. The spacious accommodations seamlessly blend Asian, Indian and Arabic influences to create a uniquely Malaysian milieu, with rich tropical woods and heavily grained Spanish marble. Features include timber floors, soaring ceilings, open-air verandas and contemporary comfort. Complete technological ease is available in every pavilion and villa, with high-speed Internet access, sound systems, satellite televisions, an iPod docking station, and CD and DVD players, while thoughtful personal touches include yukata robes and slippers. All lower pavilions and some villas offer secluded outdoor terrazzo soaking tubs for two and showers that evoke the feeling of a gentle tropical rainfall.
Location
Langkawi International Airport is located 20 km away from the Resort. It is served by Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia and Silk Air, which offer both international and domestic flights.

Six spa pavilions set against a backdrop of limestone seem to float amongst reflecting ponds. Each features a handcrafted roof and decor exquisitely accented with rich tropical woods, reflecting an Asian design philosophy blended with rich Middle Eastern influences. In a separate pavilion, guests may practice yoga and meditation. Couples can enjoy a private outdoor shower or an indoor bath in a celadon soaking tub. In addition, each of the Resort’s one-bedroom Beach Villas, as well as the Royal Villa, features a private spa room complete with two spa treatment beds, where guests can enjoy four signature massages – urut melayu, Asian fusion, synchronized massage and foot reflex – in total privacy. Guests can also choose from any of the specially blended massage oils for their treatments based on lemongrass, lime, ylang-ylang and other herbs.
The Fitness Centre at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is comprised of a weight-training room overlooking the Langkawi jungle, and a gym with the wide range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment including treadmills and stationary bikes with individual televisions.
The family pool overlooks the beach and the Andaman Sea. It is uniquely designed with many small coves that allow for privacy. Guests are provided with amenities including suntan lotion and iced water. Cool towels, freshly sliced tropical fruit and water spray are offered every hour. The poolside cafe also serves refreshments and light meals.
The Resort’s facilities comprise one tennis court, which is floodlit for night play. The complimentary Kids For All Seasons program is designed to take advantage of the Resort’s tropical environment and beautiful grounds. This supervised program creates memorable and educational experiences in a casual, fun environment. Children crave movement and motor stimulus. The Kids Yoga program helps to channel these impulses in a positive way. Led by the Resort’s resident yogi, the program is designed to develop better body awareness, increase self control, increase flexibility and coordination.

Open-air dining with Andaman Sea views backdrop the four venues for dining and cocktails – a remarkably extensive selection for such an intimate resort. The ambience ranges from elegant to casual, the cuisine from Malay and Chinese to Mediterranean fare. Barbecues on a beach lit by tiki torches or tent dinners under starry skies ensure an outstanding evening for any group.
Serai, which means «lemongrass» in Malay, celebrates the sun-drenched flavors of southern Italy and the Mediterranean. The creative menu features light, classic Italian specialties, using the freshest ingredients delicately balanced with aromatic herbs and spices. The restaurant’s elegant design, accentuated with stone and timber, wicker chandeliers, copper pots and wind chimes, perfectly complements the magnificent backdrop of lush greenery and the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea. At cooking stations, guests can choose eggs cooked in various styles.
Built in the style of a lima, a traditional Malaysian home, Ikan-Ikan highlights authentic Malay cuisine. The casual beachfront pavilion is divided into four main areas, each with idyllic views over the surroundings. The largest is a 34-seater open-air teak deck, with its two-storey fish-scaled terracotta Malay roof overlooking spectacular ocean and garden. Two pavilions on either side of Ikan-Ikan accommodate a bar with cocktail seating on one side, and a private dining room on the other.
Kelapa Grill looks over the emerald Andaman Sea offering a delectable dinner of fresh local seafood and prime aged steaks by the beach. Kelapa Grill features a daytime menu of imaginative light fare, from Asian stir-fries to wood-fired pizzas and other Western favorites. By night, the beachfront Kelapa Bar becomes the perfect spot to enjoy sunset drinks with friends and family before a sumptuous dinner of grilled classics at Kelapa Grill. Guests are offered sizzling steak classics with a premium choice of strip, T-bone, rib-eye or fillet cuts – all flame-grilled to perfection. Whether simply peppered, salted or rubbed with herbs and spices, these grills are complemented with a choice of aromatic sauces.
The Rhu Bar cultivates a rich Middle Eastern ambience. Amidst intricate wooden screens, guests lounge on wicker sofas piled high with colored cushions, while enjoying views of the blue waters and beyond. Turkish water pipes, Indian Mogul hanging swings and a pool table complete the picture. Rhu Bar offers an evening beverage list featuring house special tropical cocktails, specialty malts, international beers and an extensive wine list.
