Location

Milas-Bodrum International Airport is Amanruya’s nearest airport, connecting daily with Istanbul and many other European hubs. It is about 40 km away from the hotel.

Set on a sheltered hillside overlooking the Aegean Sea, Amanruya’s 75 square metre (807 square feet) Pool Pavilions enjoy a peaceful private garden and a private swimming pool from which to admire expansive ocean views. Combining traditional Turkish and European architecture, the pavilion’s handmade ‘kilim’ rugs from Istanbul and mangal charcoal fireplace give the space a hint of charm, while a four-poster king-sized bed, living / dining area and large bathroom with twin vanities add a touch of modernity. A deep-soaking bathtub is perfectly positioned to share the open vistas, while a pergola with cushioned daybed and wooden chaise longue allow guests to make the most of the stunning natural setting. Constructed from local stone and wood, the pavilion’s white walls and marble flooring create a calming atmosphere in a serene location.

A spacious outdoor terrace and landscaped garden with private swimming pool make Amanruya’s 75 square metre (807 square foot) Pool Pavilion Garden View rooms ideal for those wishing to enjoy the resort’s beautiful natural setting. Luscious garden vistas can be admired from all around, including from the pavilion’s pergola with large cushioned daybed and even from inside, from the bathroom’s deep-soaking bathtub. A four-poster king-sized bed adds a touch of grandeur and ensures a restful night’s sleep, while living and dining areas feature handmade Turkish rugs and a mangal charcoal fireplace to add Ottoman-inspired design appeal.

Pool Suite

Amanruya’s charming 75 square metre (807 square foot) Pool Suites offer ample space to enjoy the laidback lifestyle of the Aegean coast both inside and out. With a private swimming pool surrounded by shaded green gardens, a pergola with large cushioned daybed and wooden chaise longue, spending time outdoors has never been more inviting. Under the pavilion’s terracotta roof, white walls and marble flooring create a calming atmosphere, while Ottoman-inspired design accents reflect the resort’s beautiful setting. A four-poster king-sized bed provides a restful night’s sleep, while a living / dining area and large bathroom with deep-soaking bathtub provide plenty of room for two.

Ancient cultural sites including Ephesus, Priene, Miletus and Didyma lie within a three-hour drive of Amanruya. Maximise your time and explore by helicopter, with the added bonus of seeing these remarkable remnants of Greek and Roman civilization and their towering steps and columns from the air. Outings always include a scenic picnic, and can also take in Pammukale, Hierapolis and Aphrodisias farther afield.

Pottery in Mumcular Village

Just 30 minutes by car from Amanruya, the village of Mumcular is famous for its pottery artisans and its distinctive red clay. The village’s master potter welcomes Amanruya guests for a private demonstration of his talents and a hands-on pottery lesson. After the lesson, enjoy a traditional Turkish brunch in his home.

Horse riding from Ortakent

Surrounded by beautiful forests and farmland, Ortakent Village lies a 30-minute drive from Amanruya and is known for its riding school. After being matched with a suitable mount, venture into the countryside to explore its many winding trails. An hour’s guided ride is followed by a picnic breakfast or lunch with panoramic views of the bay.

The village of Etrim

Known for producing one of the most intricate hand-knotted carpets in Turkey, a private visit to Etrim allows guests the chance to witness the traditional process of spinning, dying and weaving in a local master’s home, where a fine collection of carpets are offered for sale. After a tour of the village, a rustic farm meal will be served in a secluded outdoor setting.

Sailing

Explore the coastline in Amanruya-I, the resort’s luxurious motor yacht, or a traditional handmade gulet. These gracious two- or three-masted wooden sailing vessels range from 14 to 35 metres and are ideal for island hopping adventures.

Watersports

Amanruya’s Beach Club offers a range of complimentary watersports equipment including paddle boards, canoes and snorkelling gear. Scuba diving and motorised watersports such as jet skiing or waterskiing can also be arranged.

Fishing

Amanruya has close relationships with local fishermen who know the best spots for catching sea bream, cane fish and black goby. Head off in the early morning or late afternoon with snacks and refreshments, then return to enjoy your catch — prepared by Amanruya’s chef — for lunch or dinner.

Poolside Dining Pavilion

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the main restaurant is situated near the swimming pool and serves authentic Turkish Aegean cuisine with beautiful views of the bay. An elegant space with dark wooden ceilings and pale marble floors indoors, it flows out onto a picturesque terrace surrounded by low olive hedges and shaded by umbrellas.

Beach Club

Protected by a headland and shaded by mature trees, the Beach Club comprises a series of terraces ideal for alfresco dining by the sea. Overlooking the pebble beach and wooden jetty, guests can dine on fresh seafood, salads and Turkish meze for lunch, and sip on cocktails in the evenings.

BBQ Terrace

Set on a rooftop with panoramic views, the BBQ Terrace is open for dinner on balmy evenings, serving a superb buffet of traditional Turkish meze and a selection of barbecued meats and fish. The atmosphere is enhanced with local music, and Amanruya’s expert sommelier ensures the perfect selection of local and international wines.

The Lounge

Anatolian Dining Pavilion

Situated high on the hillside, the Anatolian Dining Pavilion’s breathtaking views complement its exquisite cuisine. Executive Chef Cihan Beyit curates a daily chef’s menu of tempting dishes with Ottoman, Mediterranean or Aegean origins. Beautifully presented, each is elegant yet rustic, offering a genuine taste of Turkey’s culinary influences through the ages.

The Wine Lounge enjoys a lofty setting with spectacular views of the bay and surrounding hills, while the atmospheric Wine Cellar with its vaulted ceiling and stone walls is ideal for more formal dinners and cocktail parties.
