Les Sourced de Caudalie, located among the vineyards of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, a Graves great growth, was established in 1999. The concept behind Les Sources de Caudalie is inspired by the “French Paradox”, discovered over 20 years ago. It refers to a study proving that the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conducive to good health. Between vineyards and forests, at only 20 minutes from Bordeaux center, the architect Yves Collet created from scratch contemporary buildings from recycled local materials in tune with the surroundings.

These 2 new interactive tours give you the opportunity to experiment the daily life of a Chef de Culture or a Maître de Chai from within and to understand through action the various aspects of the art of winemaking.
Dining
Set in a former orangery, modelled on an ornamental, 18th-century glasshouse, La Grand’Vigne restaurant invites you to savour the chef’s brilliant, well-grounded cuisine. On fine days, it is possible to enjoy lunch or dinner in the sunshine, on the terrace overlooking the lake and the vine-covered slopes.
Chef Nicolas Masse has developed close relationships with local fishermen, livestock breeders, and market gardeners on the Atlantic coast and in the Graves countryside, who supply him with seasonal produce.
We invite you to stop along the quiet roads from the ocean to the vineyards, share his discoveries, and benefit from the excellent advice of Guillaume Carpel, our restaurant manager, and Aurélien Farouil, our head sommelier.
La Table du Lavoir serves delicious, unusual, bistro- style food with the finest seasonal products.
In the center of the room, the wash house, that has since been rebuilt stone by stone, pay tribute to the winegrover’s wives who used to come here to do the washing in the 19th century.
The roof structure was built with 18th century beams recovered from cellars at Château Lafite-Rothschild, and the glass door can be opened, weather permitting to enjoy meals on the covered terrace. Meat roasting in the huge period fireplace releases delicious smells while clients read menus written on antique laundry beaters. The unmatched cutlery, purchased by weight, sits atop traditional and antique tablecloths.
Since Nicolas Masse’s cuisine is deeply anchored in the Aquitaine region, the wine bar ROUGE is the reflect of the South-West “terroir”. Foie gras and traditional canned food, wine confits and Iberian hams can be enjoyed at the tasting bar or taken away. The wide Bordeaux wine selection is displayed on the walls. The vast terrace invites guests to enjoy sunny days, making the place warm and relaxed.
