Recreation
Fonteverde is a Spa of wellbeing amidst the Sienese hills, with rich thermal spring waters full of therapeutic gifts for the body discovered by the ancient Etruscans. The wide range of exclusive treatments was created by the team of specialists and designed to unite the precious properties of thermal spa waters with manual techniques, physiotherapy and science. Fonteverde Spa Centre is a multi-functional complex with the most up-to-date thermal treatments, a holistic centre and beauty centre.
Mineral spring spa water and mud treatments are employed for toning, contouring and relaxing the body. These are particularly effective as the treatments are composed of a rich concentration of mineral elements, which create a sense of wellbeing. Bathing in thermal waters has a delicate peeling effect on the skin which regenerates and moisturizes it, making it smooth and radiant. Aside from intensive day treatments, weekly programs are also available.
There are seven pools of different sizes: a large outdoor pool connected to a smaller indoor one, a state-of-the-art Bioaquam circuit, a water gym pool, an exclusive pool for the use of hotel guests only and a pool reserved for guests’ pets. The seventh is an intimate pool for balneotherapy where colors and aromas are used to create a soothing sound.
Morning walk is a great way to start the day in the wonderful countryside surrounding Fonteverde. The walk is preceded and followed by a stretching session. Raggi is a method based on active and passive global muscular decompensation stretching. Lengthens contracted muscles, frees articulations and diaphragm, improves breathing and reactivates vascular and lymphatic circulation.
Guests staying at Fonteverde can truly immerse themselves in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with its charming medieval villages, vineyards and olive groves. The impressive archaeological sites of Sovana and Chiusi are just a short drive from the hotel, and guided tours are available. Outdoor activities include mountain biking, walking tours, horse riding and golf at one of the nearby courses.
