La Posta Vecchia
Ladispoli, Italy
At La Posta Vecchia we pride ourselves on creating an authentic Roman experience, complete with ancient history, elegant spaces, superb views and stylish service. A Roman villa, 17th century castle outbuilding and later the home of billionaire Paul Getty, La Posta Vecchia has a unique history that couldn’t be more Italian if it tried. La Posta Vecchia offers accommodation like no other. With spectacular sea or garden views, each suite and room has a unique character shaped by its individual history. Our heritage furniture, luxury fittings and sumptuous fabrics will envelop you in a timeless space that breathes the past, whichever room you choose.
The Getty Suite and the Medici Suite are the largest suites of the hotel. The Getty Suite was J.P. Getty’s private wing when he resided in the Villa. It boasts 16th and 17th century furniture, an oak-wood ceiling, King-size bed, white marble bathroom and a wall of windows overlooking the sea. The Medici Suite was Mr. Getty’s companion’s suite. The Spanish 17th century King-size bed belonged to the Medici family, and pink marble tub embraced by two marble stairways highlight the outstanding luxury which is the hallmark of the Villa. The Master Getty Suite boasts spectacular views over the emerald Tyrrhenian sea from its unique wall of windows.
Location
La Posta Vecchia is located just outside Ladispoli. Set on the coast between Rome and Civitavecchia, this Roman villa is 10 minutes’ drive from Cerveteri-Ladispoli Train Station.
