Watch as pleasure becomes a work of art on a plate, created by head chef Anton Gschwendtner on the foundation of haute cuisine. (Awards as of July 2022 under Chef de Cuisine Anton Gschwendtner: two stars in the Guide Michelin, 3 toques with predicate in Gault & Millau, 9 pans from Gusto, 3 F from Feinschmecker). The definition of delight and delectation take on a whole new meaning with Gschwendtner’s puristic and elegant French cuisine enhanced with Asian flavours and ingredients.
You will experience the flair of an artist’s studio with an intimate atmosphere in designer Axel Vervoordt’s simple yet luxurious creation. Discover behind a mobile wall made by Dirk Vander Eecken a cozy Privé or a little terrace furnished with fire maple, the Silent-Garden. Here you can enjoy excellent service and perfectly harmonised wines.
An inspiring mix of proven classics and contemporary cuisine awaits — a mix that can also be sampled in the form of a business lunch. The winter garden, created by renowned Belgian designer and art dealer Axel Vervoordt, seems like an artist’s atelier thanks to industrial-style touches and boasts an adjoining garden terrace. A fireplace separates the restaurant from the Garden Salon.
Our Palais Keller does not only convince with its tasteful ambiance and its sophisticated delicacies but also through its gripping long history. 1443, used as a local salt warehouse, with his sturdily masonry, he survived throughout centuries. In the year of 1972, Falk Volkhardt, opened the Palais Keller as a Bavarian restaurant in our hotel. In the year 2019, 47 years after its grand opening, our Palais Keller experiences its renewal. With a sensitivity for historic building structures as, well as his intuitiveness for form, colors and materials, the Belgian interior designer, Axel Vervoodt, created energy and new dimensions, to serve traditional Bavarian cuisine in a venue of peacefulness and simplicity.
In order, for you, to fully experience the Bavarian sensation, our chef, Tobias Heinze, exclusively uses regional products from the surrounding area, for his modern Bavarian specialties. Due to the open kitchen, which is located directly in the Palais Keller, you will be able to watch how your meal is prepared and then served.
A taste of the South Pacific. Without leaving your table. Experience exotic delicacies from far-flung places, prepared according to original recipes. The room, which is full of nooks and crannies, has been designed in an authentic tiki style with carvings from Tahiti and Hawaii, shells from the lagoons of Luzon and hand-painted tikis from Fiji. Welcome to the South Pacific.
As this is a spa where your well-being takes centre stage, enjoyment is, of course, an essential part of the experience. Indulge yourself with the light creations of our Spa kitchen and, in summer, enjoy drinks in our Summer Lounge on the extensive Blue Spa terrace. The glass winter garden, designed by star architect Andrée Putman, opens up a panoramic view over Munich’s rooftops, whereas the open fireplace invites you to tarry a while. This is an exclusive pleasure that you won’t experience anywhere else. Our lounge terrace is open and awaits you with light drinks and food. Open daily from 03.00 pm (weekend from 12.00 noon).
When you’re in the Atrium, you’re pretty much at the heart of Hotel Bayerischer Hof. Here in the stunning lobby, you can watch our guests come and go — whether from Munich or all around the world. And the imposing glass dome bathes the room in a unique light.
In the adjoining Kamin Lounge, you can make yourself at home by the fireplace. In the galleries, you can retire in small groups and soak up this unique and stylish atmosphere. Our waiting staff will be happy to furnish you with a glass of champagne, a cup of coffee or one of our small snacks — from early in the morning to late at night.
That great feeling when breakfast is the first highlight of the day. Our champagne breakfast buffet offers a wide selection and gives you an opportunity to treat yourself to freshly prepared dishes. Soak up the modern atmosphere, which is the work of Paris design studio Jouin Manku, and stop to savour the view of the city skyline. In the roof garden lounge, a modern lounge atmosphere, with open fireplace and terrace, awaits you.
The wide selection of drinks will not only delight serious sport enthusiasts but lovers of unusual cocktails too — and our spa delicacies are some of the healthiest snacks you can find in a bar. No wonder, as you’re in the middle of the Blue Spa — our unique wellness oasis. And thanks to the magnificent panoramic view, you’ll no doubt want to stay around to watch the sun go down.
falk’s Bar is located in the famous hall of mirrors dating back to 1839, the only room at Hotel Bayerischer Hof to survive the Second World War unscathed. The combination of tradition and modernity — with the beautifully adorned stucco ceiling and the interplay of colours at the bar — make falk’s Bar a popular haunt for Munich’s night owls. Our bar team will recommend classic cocktails, long drinks, our own creations and fine snacks from the Garden. It’s also the perfect place for an aperitif before visiting the adjoining Cinema Lounge.
Whether a mai tai or a tiki puka puka, we serve cocktails that are second to none. In the middle of our famous Trader Vic’s restaurant, you can soak up the exotic atmosphere whilst listening to the gentle melodies of the South Pacific. The Menehune Bar can be booked exclusively for special occasions, such as parties or birthdays.
Nowadays, our Night Club is as famous as the artists who perform here. After all, where else can you see the world’s most famous jazz musicians play live without leaving your favourite spot at the bar? It might also have something to do with the selection of classic cocktails and long drinks that you can enjoy, not to mention the delicious snacks from Trader Vic’s.
Let the music play. When an evening gets off to a relaxing start, it’s amazing how wonderfully it can unfold. This may well be the reason why our Piano Bar is so popular. After all, good music and good drinks are the ideal accompaniment to good conversations. Renowned pianists entertain you every Friday.
Munich’s coolest outdoor bar. The Polar Bar at the Blue Spa terrace, showcasing a fashionable design, has fire pits and seating sheltered from the wind. Over trendy or classic drinks and hot snacks, camp-fire romanticism can be celebrated in style above the city’s rooftops: Munich’s “place to be” at the coldest time of the year.
