Activities include skiing, golfing, canoeing and trekking. During the ski season the concierge program is offered to the guests, featuring from ski lessons to consultations before and after the program.
The Windsor Hotel Toya is a luxury resort that warmly welcomes families with children, offering numerous plans for younger guests. First class coach teaches athletics, golf, and tennis from the basics in the Kids’ Academy. In winter, the Kids’ Program includes ski lessons and sledging. Hotel’s private ski slope on a gentle hill is suited for beginners and perfect for the children’s skiing debut.
In 2006 «The Leading Spas» recognized Bloom Spa Toya one of the first class spas of the world. The Blooms Spa menu abounds in treatments borrowing the healing powers of nature. For instance, the Lavender Healing treatment includes a full body scrub of Hokkaido lavender and yogurt. The Hot Stone Therapy uses volcanic rock to give superb relaxation to muscles.
In the bathing area, there is a Japanese cypress bath and a stone bath. The Crystal Blue Club’s aquatic facility adjacent to Bloom Spa includes a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tanning salon, and workout gym. Sunlight from the glass ceiling fills the pool area with warm, natural light.
Concierge can make any special day extra special. As one guest did, have concierge prepare a birthday surprise with a song, cake, and bouquet in the lobby lounge. Or guests can reserve the chapel just for the two to set the stage for a romantic wedding proposal.
Dining
The foremost Japanese restaurant in the nation, Kyoto’s Arashiyama Kitcho stands at the top of the restaurant business. Its young owner has pursued the endless promises of Hokkaido’s ingredients bringing the authenticity of Japanese cuisine.
Shoan Kogetsu offers only the most carefully selected ingredients from Hokkaido and around Japan to ensure pure satisfaction. At counter seats the sushi chef serves Omakase style.
Out of Africa offers Hokkaido’s winter produce of the best ingredients: seafood from the nearby seas, including crab, oysters, and scallop; fresh kinki rockfish and hakkaku fish representing Hokkaido; root vegetables naturally ripened in the autumn harvest; kuroge wagyu beef, garlic rice, and not to forget conversation with the chef!
Cafe Z has a tea the Cleopatra Premier, an herb tea made with Bulgaria’s rare damask rose, the rose that Cleopatra adored. Cafe also serves blended teas made with natural herbs and fruits, as well as original cakes and selection of champagnes.
Michelin-three-star Michel Bras Toya Japon serves French specialty gargouille, a prime example of how Michel Bras cuisines draw out the natural goodness of the ingredients. Chefs with training under Michel Bras himself transform Hokkaido’s vegetables, seafood, and meat into dishes matching the style of the originals served in France.
Toji Sanka offers seasonal delicacies prepared by the accomplished chef, drawing out the promising flavors of the sake and shouchu.
The Gilligan’s Island kitchen accommodates French and Italian cooking. Breakfast at Gilligan’s is simply remarkable, with the sunlight penetrating the oversized windows. Breakfast menu includes soft-boiled eggs that melt in the mouth, the homemade ham, and the morning champagne. For lunch and dinner, a course or a la carte are available.
Hotel de Kayser bakes all the bread served at the hotel. It is the only bakery in Japan that imports from France the same flour that is used by famed baker Eric Kayser. Menu features moist and buttery croissants, various hard type breads, including pain de champagne in which can be tasted the natural sweetness of the flower. It is a perfect place for a midnight snack or a picnic outdoors.
