Belmond Palacio Nazarenas

Cuzco, Peru

Daringly modern indulgence with timeless appeal. Step past walls of Inca stones and into a cloistered courtyard with an ancient fountain at its heart. But within these timeless walls, contemporary Cusco comes to life. Find a fabulous spa, the city's first outdoor pool and stylish restaurants serving cutting-edge local cuisine. This intimate urban retreat has just 55 suites, each enriched with oxygen and with its own private bar where guests can create drinks accented with fresh ingredients grown at and around the hotel.

History, culture and cuisine in the heart of Cusco. Stay at Belmond Palacio Nazarenas and be perfectly positioned to discover countless things to do in Cusco. You only have to step outside to explore the captivating history and culture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Or stay closer to home – activities within the hotel abound.

In its more recent history, the city has evolved into a chic, cosmopolitan metropolis. Nowhere is this more apparent than the neighborhood of San Blas, Cusco’s bohemian quarter. Weave among the flurry of cobbled streets reaching out from Plaza de Armas and you’ll soon happen upon the vaulted cloisters of Belmond Palacio Nazarenas. This former Inca palace is an oasis of calm in the heart of this thriving district. Once you’ve taken time to acclimatize, you’ll want to step out and delve in.

Location

The majesty of Cusco is dizzying, but you’ll find this has nothing to do with the altitude. The city resides high in the Peruvian Andes, casting a dramatic scene across the Urubamba Valley. The Incan Empire once ruled from here and the cityscape is still jeweled with ancient ruins. A 25-minute drive from Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport (CUZ), a 40-minute drive from Poroy Train Station, a 5-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, a 10-minute walk from Cusco’s Historic Quarter.

Accomodation

17th-Century Majesty Meets Urban Refinement. Spanish colonial architecture meets full-service boutique hideaway in one inviting mix. Maintaining original characteristics from the building’s former convent status, the resulting ambience is loaded with history yet indulgent for the modern traveler.

Studio Suite

Modern comfort meets old-world charm. Offering every conceivable luxury, Studio Suite features include a personal bar and 24 hour butler service. Each can be enriched with oxygen through the air-conditioning system to help combat altitude sickness.

One Bedroom Suites

As befits a celebrated Cusco hotel, extra-large bathrooms feature Peruvian marble and underfloor heating. This elegant master suite boasts an original, handcrafted ceiling. Soak up a remarkable view of Nazarenas Square from its corner terrace.
