The Dolder Grand in Zurich has been the very epitome of hospitality since 1899. A complete renovation in 2008 created a new city resort with exquisite cuisine, a unique art collection and an unrivalled spa. Since the reopening in 2008, our Hotel has received a number of awards from industry magazines and panels.
Location
The Dolder Grand is only around 20 minutes away from Zurich Airport by car, and only a short journey from the city centre.

Dolder Grand SPA and Fitness
The Dolder Grand SPA is one of the most exclusive spas in Switzerland and has won a number of awards. Encompassing 4,000 square metres, the Spa provides guests with plenty of space for pampering, relaxation and indulgence. The Dolder Grand Spa is a unique world of well-being with treatments and services to meet your every need. In addition to the Ladies’ Spa and the Gentlemen’s Spa, you can also enjoy the Aqua Zone with swimming pool, a whirlpool terrace, steam bath, sanarium, mixed sauna area, Spa Library, Spa Shop, Spa Suites, fitness facilities and relaxation areas. Separate rooms are available for treatments, fitness and meditation.
All of our treatments are designed and carried out by professionals and based on our Dolder Grand Life Balance programmes, Beauty, Detox, Vitality and Relax. They range from facials, body scrubs and wraps to bath rituals, massages and endermology treatments. Couples can also enjoy all massages together, side by side, at the Dolder Grand Spa in Zurich. Our supervised fitness studio is equipped with a large cardiovascular area, state-of-the-art machines and dumb-bells. We offer group fitness courses free of charge. You also have direct access to the forest for outdoor activities.
Sports in summer
The Dolder Bad outdoor pool is 50 metres long, 17.5 metres wide and just a five-minute walk from the Dolder Grand. There is also a tree-lined lawn covering 10,000 square metres with areas for sport and sunbathing, table tennis tables, a volleyball pitch and a children’s play area with two paddling pools and a sandpit. Next to the Dolder Bad, you will find the only minigolf course in the city of Zurich. Entry is complimentary for hotel guests.
Sports in winter
Enjoy an unforgettable day on one of the largest open-air ice-skating rinks in Europe. The 6,000-square-metre rink offers exciting and atmospheric winter fun for both young and old – whether for ice skating, “Chneble” or ice hockey. Running and e-bikes
The Adlisberg forest next to the Hotel provides the ideal setting for outdoor activities. There are a number of marked trails to choose from, with lengths ranging from 4.7 to 10.8 kilometres, and a fitness trail, all starting at the Dolder Grand. We can arrange for a fitness coach to accompany you on your training runs, while our sight running tours offer guests the chance to discover the surrounding area in a new way. Our complimentary e-bikes and mountain bikes are ideal for exploring the recreational area up on the Adlisberg, or you can head off into the forest on one of the numerous bike trails.
Golf and Tennis
Established in 1907, the Dolder Golf Club Zurich is one of Switzerland’s oldest golf clubs. The challenging 9-hole course with a clubhouse and a fantastic view of Zurich is set in idyllic surroundings and will get any golfer’s pulse racing. With its stunning views out across the city of Zurich, it is the perfect place for a game of golf. The season lasts from April to November. Equipment is provided for our guests on site by the Golf Club. Requirements for use:
- Handicap of 36 or lower
- Presentation of a handicap card that states the handicap
- Presentation of membership card of the home golf club
The five clay courts of the Zurich Tennis Club, together with a clubhouse and restaurant, are situated behind the Dolder Grand. The season runs from April to October; equipment can be hired from the concierge.
From Andy Warhol to Salvador Dalí: art at the Dolder Grand
Since the reopening of the Dolder Grand in 2008, over 100 works of art by prestigious artists have graced the premises of this luxury hotel in Zurich. The most striking piece is arguably Andy Warhol’s “Big Retrospective Painting”, spanning 11 metres, which takes pride of place above the reception. Experience art at the Dolder Grand with our art iPads or enjoying our English Afternoon Tea in the lobby. The majority of the works of art are displayed in the public areas of the Hotel and are accessible to all guests.

Are you travelling with kids? Even our youngest guests have access to a wide range of activities. Younger hotel guests aged 3 to 12 are always welcome in our supervised Kids Room. They can also enjoy accompanied outdoor activities, minigolf in the Dolder Sports facilities and trips to the nearby zoo – there is a lot waiting to be discovered.

17 GaultMillau points and Michelin-starred Yoshizumi Nagaya from Düsseldorf could be described as the Yoko Ono of experimental Japanese cuisine. And it is exactly this cuisine he is now presenting at the Dolder Grand Bar in the form of a pop-up. He does not limit his creations to the classics sushi and co., but offers so much more, such as carpaccio, Wagyu beef or tartar. And all in the usual unusual “Nagaya” style for which his guests and critics love him so much.
Fine dining at Michelin restaurant
The Restaurant serves fresh and innovative gourmet cuisine created by our Chef Fine Dining, Heiko Nieder, in a stylish atmosphere. The gourmet restaurant has been awarded 19 GaultMillau points and 2 Michelin stars and is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Zurich. Come and sample a surprising and seemingly endless array of flavours and enjoy an unforgettable evening at the Michelin restaurant.
All-day dining Saltz restaurant
The Saltz restaurant, designed by artist Rolf Sachs, exudes a unique atmosphere of relaxed familiarity combined with an air of understated opulence. It is a place in which guests can question their preconceptions and see things from a completely new perspective. Our Chef à la carte Julian Mai has created a menu of uncomplicated sophistication, which is characteristic of the simple yet refined approach he takes to cooking and his belief in using regional ingredients and specialities. Dessert lovers will enjoy the unique creations of Pastry Chef Christian Hümbs. The Saltz restaurant has been awarded 14 GaultMillau points.
The Dolder Grand Lobby
Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of our lobby, with its historic elements, modern design and contemporary art, while we serve you drinks and snacks, as well as home-made cakes, tortes and pastries. Sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. In the evening our bartenders mix classic cocktails and our Signature Drinks, such as the Wasa Khaan or the Saffron Mojito – bar feeling guaranteed.
Spa Cafe
The Spa Café offers light meals, juices and teas, which can be served on the spa terrace if you wish. All meals are also available to take away. Monday to Friday closed. Saturday and Sunday open from 12.00 am to 6.00 pm .
