Borgo San Felice was founded around the VIII century and has hardly changed in time. In 1991 it was restored and transformed into a 5 star hotel. Careful refurbishing has enhanced the architectural features of the village’s medieval buildings, stone homes, chapel and picturesque streets, maintaining intact its rural imprint consistent with the authenticity of the territory.
The 5 star hotel, Borgo San Felice, welcomes its guests in comfortable, elegant rooms which include 33 Guest-Rooms and 20 Suites scattered throughout the historical buildings of this medieval village. Some are located in the palace that was once the home of the Marquis of Taja; others are situated in the ancient houses located in the vicinity of the village’s main square. The rooms and suites have inherited from the past handcrafted antique furniture, precious fabrics, wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta tile floors, stone arches and bathrooms decorated with lovely, luxurious Tuscan tiles. Careful selection of colors and dyes and rigorous attention to detail helped to recreate a true, authentic atmosphere of these ancient aristocratic manors.

Located on a hill 350 meters above sea level, just 15 kilometers from Siena, 10 from Castelnuovo Berardenga and an hour drive from Florence, Borgo San Felice, is the ideal starting point to tour and explore the Chianti region. Surrounded by 140 hectares of vineyards with striking views, narrow streets, picturesque squares, a Romanesque chapel and shrines, Borgo San Felice is one the most charming sites in the Chianti region.

In Borgo San Felice, the Tuscan Restaurant and Barbecue, “Terrazza di San Felice”, represents a valid alternative to the hotel’s main restaurant, Poggio Rosso. Here, guests can taste the legendary Tuscan meats cooked on the open air barbecue, traditional soups, fresh salads and other dishes typical of the Tuscan tradition while sipping a glass of the great Chianti Classico wine from San Felice’s Winery.
