Arranged over three floors, the Monte Mulini’s spacious wellness facility is nevertheless an intimate space. Inspired by the Mediterranean, its three zones — Beauty, Zen Spa and Active — embody the art of healthy living based on motion, water and well-being. Wood, stone, water and gold set the tone, with the entire wellness service focused on face and body treatments, massages and invigorating baths. Gyms, saunas, whirlpools, pools with special features, relax zones and 12 rooms for face and body treatments cover an area of over 2500 square meters.
The Turkish bath, ideal for an intimate Turkish sauna for two with special wellness body scrub using sea salt and essential oils and a dry-heat Finnish sauna. In addition to regular saunas, guests staying at Monte Mulini may enjoy two Finnish and one Turkish sauna in the connected Wellness & Spa at the Lone hotel. A small indoor pool with counter-current swimming and a hit spring effect, heated to a steady 28C. A larger indoor pool is located at Lone Wellness & Spa Centre.
The gym with state-of-the-art cardio and body shaping equipment also has an outdoor area ideal for stretching and outdoor exercise. Individual fitness training and professional nutritional advice are on offer, including instructions on a holistic approach to general well-being. There are eight outdoor and four indoor tennis courts in the vicinity, within the Eden sports centre.
Two relaxation rooms are very private and have direct entrance to the treatment areas and chromotherapy zone. Here guests can prepare for a true wellness experience or relax when the treatment has concluded. There is also a Mediterranean Garden, where guests can listen to pleasant ambient music and drink healthy beverages.
The hydro-massage tub is in a separate area with an additional feature — chromotherapy for absolute relaxation. You can choose between ten different programs, adjusting the hydro-massage, water temperature and the intensity to your preference.The Serail Bath is an intimate and romantic steam sauna for two. The sea salt scrub with essential Mediterranean oils made from indigenous herbs leaves the skin thoroughly cleansed.
A high concentration of sea salt and the temperature of the water create a Dead Sea effect, experienced in the Floating Room. This provides a unique feeling, relaxing the body and relieving muscle pains, nourishing skin and hair, and improving creativity and memory.
The swimming pool complex covers over 400 sq meters and includes four outdoor pools with wonderful views of the sea and Lone bay, including a children’s pool for younger guests. Guests can choose from hydro-massage and heated or cold water or relax on one of the comfortable sun loungers, with a cool drink from the poolside bar. The part-rock and part-pebble beach is only 50 meters away, accessible by a short path from the pool area and offering natural shade.
Wine Vault’s contemporary blend of French and Mediterranean cuisine is accompanied with a selection of wines from sommelier Emil Perdec’s extensive yet carefully selected collection of 500 vintages. Emil Perdec is the chief sommelier and takes credit for the excellence of Monte Mulini’s wine lists. Emil is one of the leading oenological connoisseurs in Croatia and a winner of many national awards. The fine dining restaurant has a limited number of seats and a private dining area. Its traditional decor adds to the wine cellar atmosphere, with contemporary art details complimenting the sense of understated luxury.
Reflecting Tomoslav Gretic’s enthusiasm and innovation, the menu in fine dining restaurant Meditteraneo offers a unique interpretation of traditional recipes. The restaurant’s modern interior is also a successful fusion — of sensual fabrics and pastel-colored textures with a marble fireplace and Murano-glass chandelier. However its ambience is dominated by magnificent views of the bay and protected forest. Tomislav Gretic presides over the kitchen of both the Wine Vault and Restaurant Mediterraneo. With international experience that has taken him from Sheraton Zagreb to Dubai, Zurich and Dubrovnik, Tomislav’s passion for French cuisine and direct and uncompromising style is reflected in his attention to detail and creation of original dishes.
In the Lobby Bar the hotel’s color palate is at its most eloquent — shiny gold, creamy white, rich aubergine and shades of violet create an impression of a timeless classic. Situated in the central atrium, the Lobby Bar has a large fireplace and 20 meter high glass wall stretching across the entire width of the lobby, providing a view of Lone Bay and the surrounding Zlatni Rt park forest.
