Hokkaido is Japan’s untamed northern wilderness, as famous for its summer flower fields as for its legendary ski resorts. On the slopes of Mount Moiwa, Niseko’s finest gem, lies Aman’s fourth Japanese property. The only development on the mountain, it encompasses the country’s first destination wellness retreat and 31 exclusive Aman branded Residences, all set within a nature reserve.

On nature’s doorstep, this new Aman destination will provide unrivalled access to seasonal outdoor pursuits, from skiing and snowboarding in winter, to hiking, mountain biking and river rafting the rest of the year. Befitting the onsen capital of the world, both indoor and outdoor onsen — Japanese hot spring bathing pools — will be a feature of the Aman Spa and every Residence.

Drawing on Japanese healing traditions, expert therapists will curate year-round holistic wellness experiences encompassing bodywork, nutrition, movement, and beauty. Kampo herbs, Anma and Shiatsu massage techniques, and Zen meditation will all be incorporated. The gracious main pavilion houses a living room, two restaurants and a private dining room, a bar, whiskey and cigar lounge, library, ski retail area, ski lockers, a boutique and a gallery. The resort’s 30 suites are housed in a separate pavilion, all with mountain views.
