Welcome to Six Senses Crans-Montana hotel in Switzerland, where vitality meets serenity.
Location
The two neighboring resorts of Crans and Montana are situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters on a sunny plateau high above the Rhone Valley. Together they form one of the biggest vacation destinations in the Valais. Crans-Montana is also one of the few ski resorts where you don’t need a car. You can just catch the two-hour train from Geneva Airport to Sierre and hop on the funicular. There are 180 km from Geneva Airport to the hotel. Six Senses Crans-Montana is just above the main Cry d’Er gondola in Crans, arguably the prettier and more stylish end of the resort, steps from designer boutiques and gourmet restaurants.
Accomodation
The 78 Terrace Rooms and suite and the three-bedroom prestige apartment have a Swiss chalet feel and connect guests to the nature outside through their light and airy style, huge bay windows, and doors leading to a private terrace. Natural materials are also used in the design, from the use of quartzite stone facades to local larch and oak, and slate roofs. Bespoke furniture completes the experience, with the solid woods and natural fabrics used throughout, and our Sleep With Six Senses standard provides a cloud-comfy bed and all the fundamentals for restoring tired limbs after a hard day on the piste.
Terrace Room
The beautifully appointed interiors blend a contemporary style with traditional Alpine influences, with exposed timber and other natural materials complemented by custom-made furniture and local artwork. Each has large doors to maximize the feeling of space and light, leading out to generous outdoor terraces up to 17 square meters, with views to the piste and forest beyond.
Deluxe Terrace Room
Deluxe Terrace Rooms blend contemporary style with traditional Alpine influences and are designed with natural materials throughout: mineral renders and natural wood. The bathroom is like a cabin in the woods and as you walk in, you discover the stone-faced walls and subtle decorative glass panels that play on the light shining through. Each room has large doors to maximize the feeling of space, light, and connection to the surrounding forest, leading to a terrace with inspiring Alpine views to accompany your après-ski sundowner.
Three-Bedroom Prestige Apartment
The three king bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms all have their own bathtub, walk-in shower and double doors opening directly out onto the 153-square-meter terrace. Bathed in natural tones and custom-designed furniture, the interior design takes it cue from sustainably sourced quartzite stone, slate, and local larch and is finished with locally sourced artwork.
On entering the light-filled living area, there is a large bespoke dining table adjoining the open-plan lounge and kitchen with fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, and induction hob, perfect for entertaining. The apartment also has its own private sauna. Outside there are four further lounge and dining areas accessible from the living area. There’s also a professional telescope for budding astronomers wanting to explore the constellation-filled night sky. This is the ideal apartment to cozy up with family and friends or throw open the doors and embrace the Alpine atmosphere.

When to visit Crans-Montana
The twin towns of Crans and Montana offer a wide program of activities all year round. Spend the summer at swimming lakes, hiking through aromatic mountain forests, or thrill-seeking down expansive mountain biking trails. In winter, the ski slopes descend from the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3,000 meters. Particularly popular is the carving descent down the Piste Nationale which, at 12 kilometers, is the longest in the region. The golf courses become a paradise for cross-country skiers and skaters.
